Getting no sound from your iPhone after iOS 17/18 update? This is a problem that some of the iOS users have recently reported on multiple forums. After updating their device to the latest version, the device is exerting this weird phenomenon. You can just go through these alternative methods to fix the problem for you.
Fix 1 – Try turning off the Vocal shortcuts
You may turn off all the Vocal shortcuts from your iPhone.
Step 1 – Open up the iPhone Settings.
Step 2 – Then, go to the “Accessibility” panel.
Step 3 – Then, open the “Vocal Shortcuts” option there.
Step 4 – Turn it off from there.
After turning off the vocal shortcut, check the sound problem on your iPhone. See if this works or not.
Fix 2 – Do a force restart procedure
You can try a discrete workaround to fix the problem on your device. Some users have resolved the problem by executing these steps.
Step 1 – To do this, place the iPhone on a table or any surface.
Step 2 – Then, press the Volume Up button and release it. Then, press and release the Volume Down button,
Step 3 – Finally, press and hold the Power button until the device screen shuts off. Keep holding that button until you see the Apple logo on the device.

Fix 3 – Unmute the device
If you have put your device to Silent Mode, all the device sound like application sound, system sound will get muted automatically.
Step 1 – You can just use the Silent Mode button to unmute the device.
Step 2 – Otherwise, you can just open the Control Center on your iPhone and increase the volume using the slider there.
Step 3 – Make sure you are not using any of the focus modes that may silence the device automatically.
