Clicking on the links, but the links are not working on the Telegram app? Most of the contents on the Telegram are shared over the links. So, the inability to open the links on the Telegram can be a frustrating experience. There are some solutions that you can implement to solve this problem.
Fix 1 – Unblock the Telegram in cellular data
If you have blocked the Telegram over the cellular data (to save mobile data), external links may not open up.
Step 1 – You may start by going to the Settings window on your iPhone.
Step 2 – Proceed to the “Mobile Data” or “Cellular data” page.
Step 3 – Simply, scroll down and tap the “Show All” button to see the complete list of apps.
Step 4 – Find the “Telegram” app there.
Step 5 – If you found it in disabled condition, turn that on.
Once you have enabled it, you can use the links in the Telegram app.
Try that out.
Fix 2 – Choose an alternate browser
While opening up a link, you should opt for an alternative browser (other than Safari or any browser that you are using by default).
Step 1 – Go back to the Telegram page.
Step 2 – There, find the link that you are trying to open. Next, long-press the link there and tap the “Open in…” option.
Step 3 – Select another browser aside the regular browser to load the link in there.
Soon you will see the link has loaded in the alternative browser.
Fix 3 – Reset the entire Telegram cache
You should reset the Telegram’s data stored locally on your iPhone. Doing this should fix the problem that you are having with the links.
Step 1 – In the Telegram app, go to the “Settings” tab.
Step 2 – There, you need to open the “Data and Storage” option.
Step 3 – In the Data settings, you should open up the “Storage Usage” option.
Step 4 – Use the “Clear Entire Cache” function to clean up the Telegram cache.
After clearing the local cache of the Telegram app, you can use the app normally.
