Are the GIFs not working on the Telegram app on your iPhone? Graphics Interchange Format of GIFs provides an extra touch of humor to the chats. A chat or messaging platform like Telegram is no exception to the support of use of an extensive number of these GIFs. But, what if you send your favorite GIFs on Telegram? There are a bunch of possible solutions that will fix the issue.
Fix 1 – Don’t insert the GIF via Gboard
It seems that the affected users are having this problem inserting the GIF from the Gboard keyboard. So, we recommend you download the GIF file and input it as an attachment.
Step 1 – You have to download the GIF file separately from Safari. So, open the Safari browser.
Step 2 – Next, go to the Giphy and search for the particular GIF that you are trying to share.
Step 3 – Once you have found it, tap to open it up.
Step 4 – When that specific GIF loads up, hold down the GIF file there on your screen and tap “Save to Photos“.
This way, it will be saved to your gallery, and you can share this is an attachment.
Step 5 – So, go to the Telegram and load up the chat to whom you want to send this GIF.
Step 6 – Next, tap the “📎” button to open the list of attachment files.
Step 7 – Go to the “Photos” tab, and select the GIF from there.
Step 8 – Now, tap the “Send” button to send the GIF file.
This way, you can save and share any GIFs you want.
Fix 2 – Increase the Maximum cache size
You must increase the maximum allowed cache size from the Telegram settings.
Step 1 – Open the Telegram app, and while you are in there, open the “Settings” part.
Step 2 – Therefore, go to the “Data and Storage” functionality.
Step 3 – Open the “Storage Usage” department.
Step 4 – In that specific sector, scroll down to search for the “Maximum Cache Size” to the right-most section. Set this to “No Limit” portion.
After removing the restriction from the cache size of the Telegram app, you won’t have any problem saving or sharing GIFs directly on the Telegram app.
Check if this works.
Fix 3 – Turn off the Power Saving mode in Telegram
Sharing GIF can be problematic if the Telegram is in Power Saving mode.
Step 1 – While you are using Telegram, tap the “Settings” tab.
Step 2 – In the Telegram settings page, if you look, you will find the “Power Saving” tab. Go there.
Now, in this page, you will find a slider that puts you the Telegram app on power saving mode whenever the iPhone’s battery level below the preset level.
Step 3 – Now, you should set the slider to “Always Off” condition.
Once you do this, the Power Saving mode will be turned off automatically. See whether you can send the GIFs or not.
