Is the wallpaper on your iPhone screen keeps disappearing and turning black again and again? If the image on your iPhone’s wallpaper is too old or an image that you have got long ago, this problem can show up on your device. We have an interesting trick that will fix this continuous black screen issue on your iPhone.
Fix 1 – Duplicate the image and set it
Duplicate the image in your Gallery and use the image as your wallpaper on your iPhone.
Step 1 – Begin by opening the Photos app.
Step 2 – Now you have to find out the image that you are using as your background in the Photos application.
Step 3 – Do not open up the image. Instead, just hold the image and tap “Duplicate” to make a copy of the same image.
Step 4 – You can find this new copy of the image at the first of the ‘Recents‘ section in the Photos app.
Now, you must set this copy of the image as your wallpaper.
Step 6 – So, quit the Photos app and lock the iPhone.
Step 7 – Wake up the iPhone next and hold down the lock screen on your iPhone. There, you will see a “➕” button next to the Customize option. Tap that once.
Step 8 – Now, go to the “Photos” on the ‘Add New Wallpaper’ page.
Step 9 – Go to the “Albums” and load up the “Recents” tab.
Step 10 – You will find the copy of the wallpaper image at the first position on the Recent’s tab. Select that to apply it on your wallpaper.
Step 11 – Adjust the image according to your liking on the wallpaper and tap “Add“.
Once you have set the new wallpaper, you are good to go. No more if the wallpaper keeps disappearing or your wallpaper screen turns pitch black.

Fix 2 – Set up a new wallpaper
If setting up the duplicate image as the wallpaper doesn’t work, you can use a different wallpaper on your iPhone. While setting up the new wallpaper on your iPhone, make sure to use a newer picture.
Fix 3 – Update your iPhone’s iOS
The sudden disappearance of the wallpaper from your iPhone can be a glitch as well. So, you must update the iOS to the latest build.
Step 1 – Visit your iPhone’s Settings and open up the “General” part of the settings.
Step 2 – Next, you must open the “Software Update” feature.
Step 3 – Hold up a few seconds to see whether an iOS build is ready to get installed on your device.
Step 4 – If that is the case, you will have the option to use the “Install Now” function.
The problem with the wallpaper should be gone when you have installed the iOS updates.
Follow the next solution, if this one doesn’t work.
Fix 4 – Turn off the Always of Display (AOD)/Auto Lock function
Some iPhone users have solved the issue by disabling the Always on Display or Auto Lock function on the iPhone.
Step 1 – On your iPhone’s Settings, load up the “Display & Brightness” settings.
Step 2 – Now, open the “Auto Lock” function.
Step 3 – Set the Auto Lock anything to except the “Never” mode.
Step 4 – For an example, you can set it to “30 seconds“.
This should take care of the issue with the sudden disappearance of the wallpaper on your iPhone.
