Is your iPhone screen not rotating with the rotation of your device? If the iPhone layout is not rotating according to the rotation of the device, you must fix the problem manually. The problem lies in the settings of your iPhone, and tweaking a few settings should fix the issue.
Fix 1 – DeSelect the Auto-Rotation shortcut
The Auto Rotation can be enabled or disabled directly from the Control Center.
Step 1 – So, you should check the Control Center, first. Just swipe down from the top to open the panels there.
Step 2 – There, check out the “Auto Rotation” button there. If it does have a gray background, it is activated on your iPhone.
Step 3 – Tap that to disable that on your iPhone.
After you have disabled it, rotate the iPhone sideways, and you will see the layout has rotated as well.
Fix 2 – Update the specific app
If you are facing this problem with a specific app, you should update the app from the App Store.
Step 1 – Open up the App Store.
Step 2 – Next, tap the profile picture there on the right-hand top corner.
Step 3 – This will load up the list of apps installed on your iPhone.
Step 4 – Look for the specific app where you are facing this problem. Tap the “Update” option next to the app to update it.
After updating the application, the screen while you are in the app will rotate.
NOTE – There are a number of apps that has a fixed orientation. You can rotate those apps or change the orientation of those apps. So, even if you rotate the phone screen, it won’t be rotated as the app doesn’t support that. There is nothing you can do about this.
Fix 3 – Set to the Default Zoom level
You must set the Zoom Level on your iPhone screen.
Step 1 – To do this, you must open the iPhone Settings.
Step 2 – Next, open up the “Display & Brightness” zone.
Step 3 – This page consists of display settings. So, scroll down and open the “Display Zoom” section.
Step 4 – You must set the ‘Display Zoom’ to “Default” level.
Step 5 – To complete this process and apply this zoom level throughout the iOS, tap “Done“.
Step 6 – When the iPhone asks for it, tap “Use Standard” mode.
Once you have applied the change in the display settings, check whether you can rotate the iPhone screen and see whether the screen is rotating along with it or not.
Fix 4 – Rotate the iPhone using Assistive Touch
If your iPhone doesn’t rotate automatically, you use the Assistive Touch to rotate the screen at your own discretion.
Step 1 – To do this, load up the iPhone Settings.
Step 2 – Next, open up the “Accessibility” settings to find all the iPhone accessibility settings.
Step 3 – In that Accessibility page, go to the “Touch” panel.
Step 4 – When you have opened up the Touch settings, go to the “AssistiveTouch” button.
Step 5 – Set that to “On” mode to turn on the Assistive Touch settings.
The default version of the Assistive Touch does have the ‘Rotate Screen’ feature. So, you don’t have to modify it manually.
Step 6 – So, tap the “Assistive Touch” circle on your screen to open the assistive touch menu.
Step 7 – There, tap the “Device Menu” in there.
Step 8 – You can use the “Rotate screen” function to rotate the screen at your will.
This way, you can use the rotate screen function whenever you want to, irrespective of whether the Auto-Rotation is on or off.
But, if an app does restrict you from using the Auto-Rotation function, you can’t rotate the screen even while using the function from the Assistive Touch panel.
