Reminders are not working on your iPhone? Reminders have become an essential part of our lives. So, if you have set up a reminder for an important business meeting or a life event that you don’t want to forget at any cost and the iPhone fails to remind you of that, it is a problem. Just like other situations, this can be fixed simply by following some easy fixes.
Fix 1 – Give the Reminder app proper permissions
If you have set up the reminder for the first time or used the Siri to do so, you must allow certain permissions for the Reminder app.
Step 1 – Just open up the iPhone screen.
Step 2 – Then, search for the “Reminder” from the Apple Spotlight. Open it up from there.
Step 3 – If this is the first time you are doing this, Reminder app should ask for some permissions.
Step 4 – So, if you get a permission prompt, allow that immediately.
If there is no permission request from the Reminder app, just try to set up a new reminder.
Step 5 – Just allow the permissions you need, and you will get the Reminder app functional once again.
Check if this is working for you.
Fix 2 – Turn on the Location Services
The Location service is often used by the Reminder app. So, you must turn that on.
Step 1 – So, what you have to do is to open up the Settings.
Step 2 – Next, open the “Privacy & Security” settings.
Step 3 – Open the “Location Services” settings there.
Step 4 – Turn on the Location Services from there.
Step 5 – After turning it on, scroll down and find out the “Reminders” app. Open it up.
Step 5 – Set this to “While using the app” option.
The Reminder app should behave normally, and you will get the reminders correctly.
Fix 3 – Enable the Reminders from iCloud
Your iCloud syncs the Reminders across devices.
Step 1 – You have to go to your device Settings.
Step 2 – At the top of the page, you shall find the Apple ID section. Open it up.
Step 3 – Then, open up the “iCloud” settings.
Step 4 – Try to find the “Reminders” app, there. If you can’t tap “See All” once and open it up.
Step 5 – You have to switch on the “Reminders” app.
Step 6 – Even if it is enabled, turn it off once and later, enable it on the device.
See whether you are getting the reminders or not.
Fix 4 – Offload the Reminder App
If none of these solutions work, offload and reinstall the Reminders app.
Step 1 – At first, load up the Settings tab and open up the “General” page.
Step 2 – In that Apps page, go to the “iPhone storage” tab.
Step 3 – Later, scroll down and open up the “Reminders” app.
Step 4 – Use the “Offload App” option there. If it asks for your permission, give it that.
Step 5 – You may reinstall the app from the same location. Tap “Reinstall App” to do that.
Or, you can do that from the App Store as well.
Once you have done this, you will get the reminders on your iPhone normally.
