Does the flashlight on your iPhone not working? The flashlight on your iPhone is an essential feature. The importance of the flashlight can not be understated, even when you are not using it to capture images in a dark environment. So, you must not neglect the inability of using your flashlight properly on the device.
Fix 1 – Let the iPhone cool down
Your iPhone heats up with long or hard usage of the device. When your iPhone temperature reaches a certain limit, it will automatically pause the flashlight function on your device.
Step 1 – To check whether this is the reason the flashlight is not working, you can open up the Camera app.
Step 2 – Try to enable the flashlight using the flashlight icon on the top.
If it doesn’t let you turn on the flashlight or shows up an error message pointing out the device temperature as the reason, you can’t use the flashlight right away.
You can leave the iPhone alone for a few minutes. Get the device cool down a bit and then, you can use flashlight again.
Fix 2 – Toggle the level of flashlight brightness
You can control the brightness of the flashlight on the iPhone. So, if it is too low, increase it to the maximum level.
Step 1 – At first, swipe down once to get access to the Control Center.
Step 2 – Tap to hold the flashlight icon in there.
You will see the flashlight toggle with bars on your screen.
Step 3 – Turn up the flashlight to the maximum setting.
If the flashlight is still not working, you can follow these steps.
Fix 3 – Forcefully restart the iPhone
One of the key resolution to fix such issues on your iPhone is to force restart the device.
Step 1 – Start by tapping the Volume Up button.
Step 2 – Next, tap the Volume Down button on the side of the device.
Step 3 – Now, all you have to do is to hold down the Power button on your device. As the name suggests, you are force rebooting the device.
After the device reboots up successfully, you can expect the flashlight to work normally.
Fix 4 – Turn off the Content Restrictions
Disable the Content Restrictions imposed on your device.
Step 1 – To do this, you must open up the Settings window on your iPhone.
Step 2 – Next, go to the “Screen Time” settings.
Step 3 – In the Screen Time page, open up the “Content Privacy & Restrictions” settings.
Step 4 – You must disable it from there.
Do check your flashlight now. See if you can actually use it or not.
Fix 5 – Disable the Low Power mode
The flashlight on your iPhone may not work if you are using the device in low power mode.
Step 1 – To check whether your iPhone is in low power mode or not, open up the Settings.
Step 2 – Next, load up the “Battery” settings.
Step 3 – Thereafter, turn off the “Low Power mode” from there.
Check whether this works for you!
