iPhone connected to the Wi-Fi network but not having any internet connection? This is sort of a problem that all the iPhone users have at least run into once in their usage experience. There are so many reasons why this may affect you. But, setting the reasons aside, you must follow these set of solutions to fix this no internet issue with the Wi-Fi.
Fix 1 – Forget the network and rejoin it
Forget the network that you are having this problem with, restart the iPhone and rejoin the network, thereafter.
Step 1 – You have to load the iPhone Settings page, first.
Step 2 – Next, open the “Wi-Fi” tab in there.
Step 3 – In that Wi-Fi page, you will see your Wi-Fi connection.
Step 4 – Just tap the ℹ button beside the name of the Wi-Fi (SSID) to get access to the Wi-Fi settings.
Step 5 – There you will see the “Forget this Network” option.
Step 6 – Tap that, and you will get another prompt, asking for your approval to forget the network credentials.
Doing this will get you disconnected from the Wi-Fi network.
Step 7 – Quit this Wi-Fi settings page and close all the other app panels.
Step 8 – Then, press and hold the Volume Up and the Power button for a brief moment of time.
Step 9 – Execute the ‘Slide it to power off‘ action to power off the iPhone.
This action will restart your iPhone.
When the iPhone has rebooted, unlock the iPhone and proceed to your Settings.
Step 10 – There, you have to open the “Wi-Fi” page.
Step 11 – In that Wi-Fi page, you will see the list of Wi-Fi connections.
Step 12 – Turn on the Wi-Fi. Next, tap the same ℹ button one more time to access the Wi-Fi settings.
Step 14 – Tap “Join This Network“, next.
Step 15 – You must input your Wi-Fi password to log-in using the SSID point.
Step 16 – So, input that and join the Wi-Fi.
Once you have reconnected to the Wi-Fi, test the internet connection.
You can do that quite easily by running a speed test.
Fix 2 – Automate the Date & Time settings
You may not know this, but wrong Date & Time settings does affect your network settings.
Step 1 – To do this, you need to open the Settings.
Step 2 – In there, you have to open up the “General” settings.
Step 3 – When the General settings tab loads up, roll downwards and find the “Date & Time” option.
Step 4 – In the Date & Time settings option, make sure the “Set Automatically” option is turned On. Enabling this option let the iOS take control of the date and time settings on your iPhone.
Step 5 – Later, toggle the “24-Hour Time” setting to On mode.
Once you have done tweaking the date and time settings, you have to disconnect and reconnect the Wi-Fi. You may do this manually from the Settings page on your iPhone or, do the following steps –
Step 6 – Open the Control Center quickly by swiping down on your iPhone’s screen.
Step 7 – Next, enable the Airplane mode button in there. Doing this will disconnect all your networks from your iPhone.
Step 8 – Disable the flight mode after a few seconds.
Wait for your iPhone to reconnect the Wi-Fi automatically as soon as you have disabled the Airplane mode.
Fix 3 – Disable the Content & Privacy settings
If you are using a public Wi-Fi, the Content & Privacy restrictions can cause the problem.
Step 1 – You must go to the Settings page.
Step 2 – Open the “Screen Time” settings in there.
Step 3 – In the main Screen Time settings tab, scroll down to find the “Content & Privacy Restrictions” tab. Open it up.
Step 4 – Once you get into there, toggle the “Content & Privacy Restrictions” to Off mode.
After deactivating the Content & Privacy restriction mode, try checking out the Wi-Fi speed. You can get the advantage
Fix 4 – Restore the network settings
This being a network-related issue, you should definitely try to restore all the network settings to the default mode.
Step 1 – Get to the iPhone Settings by using the ⚙ icon.
Step 2 – You have to find the “General” settings and open it up.
Step 3 – When the General page opens up, open the “Transfer or reset iPhone” option.
Step 4 – Next, open the “Reset” option.
Step 5 – Now, you may use the “Reset Network Settings” option from that list to reset the network settings.
Next, you must approve the process. Once it starts, all the networking information will get erased from your iPhone.
This also includes the Wi-Fi password. So, when you go get back and reconnects to the Wi-Fi, do check whether you can actually use the internet at the maximum speed or not.
