How to Lock your Notes on iPhone
Step 1: First of all, you need to launch the Settings app on your iPhone.
Step 2: After the Settings app page appears, scroll down and select the Notes option from the list of Apps as shown below.
Step 3: Once the Notes page opens, tap on the Password option.
Step 4: This pops up a context window on the screen if you are setting a password for the Notes for the first time.
Step 5: You can select the Use iPhone Passcode as encryption to your notes.
Step 6: But recommend adding a specific password to your notes for locking it.
Step 7: So tap on the Create Password option at the bottom of the window as shown below.
Step 8: There appears a Set Password page where you need to enter the Password, Verify the same entered password.
Step 9: After that, you can also enter a Hint in case you forget the lock note password.
NOTE – Hint is totally optional. You can choose to skip it.
Step 10: After entering the password, tap on Done at the top right side as shown in the picture below.
Step 11: After setting up the password, open the Notes app on your iPhone.
Step 12: Now once the Notes app is open, open a specific note that you want to lock.
Step 13: Once the Note is open, tap on the three-dot menu icon on the top right corner of the note page as shown in the below screenshot.
Step 14: Now click on the Lock option from the dropdown menu as shown below.
Step 15: Enter the lock password that you had set earlier and then click OK.
Step 16: It will ask you whether you want to allow the Notes app to use your Face ID to open this note. Click Don’t Allow if you want to use a password for opening the note.
Step 17: After that, click on the lock sign on the top bar of the note page as shown below.
Step 18: Now this note is locked.
Step 19: In order to view this note, you need to enter the lock password.
NOTE – After you have opened the note with the lock password, you have to tap on the lock sign on the top bar every time before closing the note. Otherwise, it will remain unlocked.
