Fix 1 – Uninstall Certain Video Calling Apps
Some iPhone users noticed that they started facing this issue only after installing some certain video calling apps or other apps on their iPhones. Therefore, it will be good if you check whether you have installed any applications recently and try uninstalling them. To check which apps you have installed lately, please follow the steps below.
Step 1: Open the App Store on your iPhone first of all.
Step 2: After the App Store opens, tap on the Profile icon in the top right corner as shown in the below screenshot.
Step 3: Now select the Purchased option from the list as shown.
Step 4: This will list all the applications you have installed till now sorting them by time.
Step 5: So check if you have installed any application just before you started to notice this issue.
Step 6: If yes, please uninstall it.
Step 7: After uninstalling, the problem should be fixed.
Fix 2 – Change the Facebook In-App Sound settings
iPhone users who use the Facebook app on their iPhones have observed that the volume issue occurs when they use Facebook most of the time. This happens if the setting called In-app sound is enabled on the Facebook app on your iPhone.
Let us turn this setting off on the Facebook app and see if this resolves the issue.
Step 1: To do this, you have to open the Facebook app on your iPhone.
Step 2: Now tap on the three-line icon called Menu at the bottom right corner of the Facebook app window as shown in the below screenshot.
Step 3: Scroll down the Menu list and tap on the Settings & Privacy option to expand it.
Step 4: After the Setting & Privacy section has expanded, select the Settings option by clicking on it.
Step 5: Now scroll down the Settings list and find the Media option which is present under the Preferences section as shown in the image below.
Step 6: This opens the Videos and photos page.
Step 7: Disable the In-app sound option by tapping on its toggle button as shown below.
Fix 6 – Switch off the Bluetooth setting on your iPhone
There are times when we forget that our iPhones are connected to some Bluetooth device. If this is the case, you need to turn off the Bluetooth setting on your iPhone otherwise the volume will get changed and it will be managed by the Bluetooth device.
Here are the steps on how to do it.
Step 1: Open the Settings page first on your iPhone.
Step 2: Then go to the Bluetooth option from the Settings menu by clicking on it as shown below.
Step 3: Now disable the Bluetooth setting by tapping on its toggle switch.

Remove/Change the iPhone Case
Sometimes, these types of problems occur on any smartphone due to the case that covers it. Some iPhone cases are very tight and it exerts some pressure on the volume buttons and power buttons as well of the iPhone.
When there is some pressure built on the volume button of the iPhone, it gets pressed and the iPhone volume gets changed. If so, please replace the iPhone case with better ones that are not too tight and cover it comfortably.
Restart the iPhone
When there is some problem inside the iPhone whether software or hardware, it can be rectified by rebooting the iPhone. Many iPhone users have claimed that they were able to fix this issue by restarting their iPhones by going to Settings > General > Shut Down.
Then to switch on the iPhone, you need to press and hold the volume up and power button on the sides together until Apple Logo appears on the iPhone screen. This restarts the iPhone and you will notice that the issue has been resolved.
Update the iPhone
