How To Fix Invalid Floating Point State Error in Windows 10

If you are seeing an error message that says “Invalid floating point state“, it means that there is something wrong with the Region Settings in Windows. This is a small glitch that throws this error and prevents you to work on your system.

However, this can be fixed easily by making a small change in the Region Settings. So, let’s see how to fix the Invalid floating point state error in Windows 10.

Solution 1 : Through Clock and Region in Control Panel

 



Step 1 –  Press Windows key and R to open RUN.

Step 2 – Now, type INTL.CPL in it and click OK

Step 3 – Now, click on Formats tab.

 

Step 4: In the Region dialogue box, under the Formats tab, click on the Additional Settings button.

Step 5: In the next dialogue box, Customize Format, under the Numbers tab, go to the Decimal symbol field and set it to comma (,).

Press Apply and then OK to save the changes.

You will be back to the Region dialogue box. Press Apply and OK again to save the changes and exit.

Solution 2 : Running SFC / SCANNOW

1 – Search CMD in Windows search.

2 -Right click on search result and then click on run as administrator.

3 – Now, run the command given below.

SFC /SCANNOW

You should no more see the error and you can easily access your apps and browsers on your Windows pc.

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

4 – Close the CMD window.
