Uninstall any third-party Desktop Customization Apps
Sometimes, the users may forget about any desktop customization software that has been installed earlier on the system. This might be interfering with the slideshow feature on the desktop background. So, we recommend our users uninstall any desktop customization software from the system.

Change the Advanced slideshow settings using the Settings app
Most people who use the slideshow as their wallpaper also use it as their lock screen background. There is a setting called Advanced slideshow settings under the Lock Screen option in the Settings app.
If any time duration is selected for Turn off the screen after the slideshow has played for option, it will create this issue.
As a result, we recommend that users deactivate this option using the easy steps outlined below.
Step 1: Go to the Personalization page by right-clicking on the Desktop empty space and selecting Personalize from the context menu as shown below.
Step 2: On the Personalization page, click the Lock screen option as shown below.
Step 3: Under Advanced slideshow settings, make sure Don’t turn off is selected from the dropdown list for Turn off the screen after the slideshow has played for option as shown in the below screenshot.
Step 4: Once done, close the window.
