Whenever you hover mouse over an icon in the taskbar, it shows you preview thumbnail. But, some users want it to be larger and more visible. having such a small preview do not serve any purpose. The thumbnail preview can be easily made bigger by a simple registry edit. Note that this trick is equally applicable to windows 7/8/8.1/10. How to enlarge Thumbnail preview in windows 10 taskbar
Step 1 – Press windows key + r to open run command box. Type regedit in it and hit enter.
Step 2 – Browse through given below path in the left menu of the registry editor.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER –> SOFTWARE –> Microsoft –> Windows –> CurrentVersion –> Explorer –> Taskband
Now, once you reach there in taskband, just right click and create a new DWORD (32-bit) value named MinThumbSizePx.
Step 3 – Now, double click on it and create change value data to anything below 500 pixels. Note that on an verage the default pixel size of thumbnails is around 200 pixels. So, to make it bigger you have to set a value more than this value. You can also enter a less than 200 value and make thumbnails smaller also.
Finally restart windows to make changes into account.
