Can’t call up Siri as the ‘Hey Siri’ is not working on your Apple Watch? The prompt ‘Hey Siri’ invokes Siri directly on the watch, which then waits and listens to your query. So, if the Siri is not waking up on your watch, you can take this route to troubleshoot the problem on your wearable.
Fix 1 – Restart the Apple Watch
The very basic fix for this problem is a normal reboot of the watch.
Step 1 – Press and hold the side button on the watch.
Step 2 – After it loads up the Control Center, tap the power icon there.
Step 3 – Finally, drag the ‘Power off‘ slider to switch off the device.
After this, use the same switch to restart your watch.
Fix 2 – Disable and enable all the Siri features
Try disabling and enabling all the Siri features on your Apple Watch.
Step 1 – Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
Step 2 – This time, go to the “Siri” tab.
Step 3 – There you will see many Siri features. Disable all the features one-by-one.
Step 4 – Then, re-enable the same features in there.
After re-enabling these features, call up Siri and check. See if this works or not.
Fix 3 – Turn on the Siri responses mode
You can find the Siri Responses in the same settings page.
Step 1 – So, load up the Watch app once more.
Step 2 – Then, tap the “Siri” tab.
Step 3 – Next, touch the “Siri Responses” module.
Step 4 – Set the ‘Spoken Responses‘ to “Always On” mode.
Try to call up Siri now on your Watch.
Fix 4 – Make sure the iPhone is connected
Your iPhone must be connected to your Watch for a better performance of Siri.
Step 1 – Touch the side button on your watch once.
Step 2 – There, you will see a phone buzz icon. Tap that once.
If the iPhone is connected to your watch, it will make a sound. If you don’t hear any sound, that means it is not connected to the device.
Step 3 – If there is no sound, turn on the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth on the iPhone and the watch should get connected automatically.
See if the Siri is working now or not.
Fix 5 – Turn on Siri features on watch
You have to enable the Siri features on the Apple Watch.
Step 1 – Tap the crown once and load up the Settings utility.
Step 2 – Next, open up the “Siri” settings in there.
Step 3 – You will find lots of Siri features inside. Make sure to turn them all on.
If you still can’t use Siri, go for the next solution.
Fix 6 – Connect to the Wi-Fi
Siri can’t function properly without a Wi-Fi connection.
Step 1 – At first, tap the side button on the watch.
Step 2 – Next, tap the Wi-Fi sign in there.
Step 3 – Later, tap the Wi-Fi that you want to connect to it.
While you are connected to the Wi-Fi, give the Siri another call. Check if that works.
Fix 7 – Turn on Dictation on watch
Siri on your watch won’t respond unless it detects you are wearing it. So, make sure the wrist detection is enabled.
Step 1 – Open the Watch app on the device.
Step 2 – Then, go to the “Passcode” panel.
Step 3 – Simply, enable the “Wrist Detection” mode.
After enabling this, Siri should work once again. Check if this works.
