Cellular not working on your Apple Watch – How to fix

Having some trouble with the cellular service on your Apple Watch? If you have the cellular version of the Apple Watch, there is a chance that you have already faced some problem with it, at least once. You can easily counter that problem following these easy solutions.

Fix 1 – Does the watch support cellular

Apple manufactures two distinct types of Apple Watches on the basis of connectivity features. If you have the Cellular+GPS version of the watch, you should expect the mobile network services to work properly.

It uses the eSIM technology to provide this service. Now, there are some countries or regions in the world where you may not  have the eSIM support against your carrier operator. There is no way you will get any cellular connection in those aforementioned positions.

Fix 2 – Reboot the Apple Watch

There is a high chance that this is nothing but a bug in the watchOS. It can be solved by executing a simple force-reboot exercise.

Step 1 – You can start the process by pressing the side button and the crown on the watch.

Step 2 – Keep pressing these two buttons until the watch face turns black on your device. You may release the buttons only when the Apple logo illuminates the screen.

You may release the pressure on those two buttons once you have seen the Apple logo.

This should restore the cellular connection on the watch. So, test it out.

Fix 3 – Check the cellular data settings

See whether the cellular data is enabled on your Apple Watch settings.

Step 1 – To perform this check, tap the side button of the watch.

Step 2 – Tap the tower icon 🗼in the control center once.

Fix 4 – Disable the Airplane mode

Airplane mode does restrict the cellular coverage on the Apple Watch.

Step 1 – At first, gently tap the side button on the watch once.

Step 2 – As this takes you to the Control Center, scroll down to find the Airplane mode toggle.

Step 3 – Turn it off from there.

Allow a few seconds to the watch to restore the cellular services. Check if this works or not.

Fix 5 – Make sure you have a working plan

You must have a valid cellular plan on your number, and it should be configured correctly.

Step 1 – Open up the Watch app once again.

Step 2 – Then, go to the “My Watch” tab.

Step 3 – Thereafter, open up the “Mobile Service” settings.

You can see the current cellular configuration in there. If you have multiple plans against your number or have a dual SIM plan, you may change it from there.

See if this helps or not.
