The issue is that they are not able to grant microphone access to certain applications on their iPhones. Some users said that the Microphone option was missing from the application’s settings page.

Initial Troubleshooting Tips

Fix 1 – Try audio calling someone from the application
Sometimes, the Microphone setting which is missing from the settings page can be rectified by simply calling someone within the application and it will pop up a permission window which you have to accept by tapping Allow.
Fix 2 – Allow Microphone to Apps through the Settings app
Step 1: Open the Settings app on the iPhone first.
Step 2: After you have opened the Settings app, go to the Application on the Settings menu list.
Step 3: Here it shows all the settings related to the application to which you can grant access.
Step 4: Search for the Microphone option and turn it on by tapping on its toggle button as shown in the below screenshot.
Fix 3 – Force Restart your iPhone
Step 1: To start with, you have to press the volume-up button once and leave it.
Step 2: Next, you should press and leave the volume-down button on the side of the iPhone.
Step 3: Later, tap on the power button and release when you see the Apple Logo on the iPhone screen.
This force restarts the iPhone.
Fix 4 – Disable the Microphone Restrictions Settings
Step 1: You should launch the Settings app.
Step 2: Select the Screen Time option from the Settings list as shown below.
Step 3: Now choose the Content & Privacy Restrictions option by clicking on it.
Step 4: Scroll down and find the Microphone option from the list and click on it.
Step 5: Click Allow Changes.
Fix 5 – Reinstall the Application on your iPhone
Step 1: Uninstall the Application to which you are not able to grant microphone access.
Step 2: To delete the app, you have to long tap on the app icon and select the Remove App option.
Step 3: Afterwards, click Delete App.
Step 4: Then select the Delete option from the pop-up window on the screen.
Step 5: This starts deleting the app from your iPhone.
Step 6: Once it is deleted, reinstall the app from App Store.
Fix 6 – Reset All Settings
If nothing is working out for you in resolving this issue, you can try resetting all the iPhone’s settings by performing Reset All Settings on your iPhone. Once all the settings are reset, this issue will get disappeared.
