The importance of the Apple CarPlay is well known to almost everyone who drives a car on a regular basis. So, it can be a huge problem for you if the CarPlay stops working during your journey. The most crucial part of losing access to the CarPlay is missing Map directions, various other apps on the CarPlay like Spotify, Apple Music, Phone, etc. You must be in a hurry to solve the CarPlay issue.

Fix 1 – Allow CarPlay in locked state
You must permit the CarPlay even when the iPhone is in locked state.
Step 1 – Start by accessing the Settings utility on your iPhone.
Step 2 – In the Settings page, go to the “General” settings.
Step 3 – Open the “CarPlay” settings from there.
Step 4 – In the CarPlay settings, open up the car settings that under the ‘My Car‘ section.
Step 5 – Now, enable the “Allow CarPlay While Locked” mode, if it is available.
Step 6 – Make sure the “CarPlay” is enabled.
After doing this, you may continue to use the CarPlay even when the device is in locked state.
Fix 2 – Refresh the network
It seems that majority of the users experience this issue due to a problem in the cellular network connection of your iPhone.
Step 1 – At first, slide down to access the Control Center.
Step 2 – Turn on the Airplane mode from there.
Step 3 – Then, turn off the Airplane mode on the device to refresh the device connection.
See whether you can connect and use the Apple CarPlay or not.
Fix 3 – Turn on the Bluetooth
Bluetooth is essential for successful pairing and usage of Apple CarPlay.
Step 1 – Open up the iPhone’s Settings page.
Step 2 – Next, tap the “Bluetooth” settings.
Step 3 – Turn on the “Bluetooth” settings from the iPhone Settings page.
You don’t have to manually connect your car via Bluetooth or anything. You can use Apple CarPlay once again.
Fix 4 – Forget the car and add it
You can just remove your car from your CarPlay and add the car to CarPlay again. You can use this.
Step 1 – On the iPhone Settings and head on to the “General” settings.
Step 2 – Next, open up the “CarPlay” settings.
Step 3 – In the CarPlay settings page, open up your car name where you are having this problem.
Step 4 – Next, tap “Forget this Car” option to forget the car.
Once you have removed the car, you can reconnect your car from the start. Just turn on the Bluetooth on your iPhone and you can automatically connect the car using CarPlay.
Fix 5 – Start the Apple CarPlay from Car
You can start the Apple CarPlay directly from your car’s infotainment system screen.
Step 1 – Go to your car infotainment screen.
Step 2 – Find the ‘Paired devices’ section.
Step 3 – You will find the small CarPlay icon beside the name of your iPhone, provided that you have connected the device before
This way, you can directly launch and run the Apple CarPlay from the car screen.
