Offload app stuck for too long in iPhone – Fix

Is your offloaded app taking too much time to get reinstalled on your iPhone? Offloading or reinstallation of an offloaded app may take some time. But, if the app is taking some unusually longer time to get offloaded or reinstalled from your device, you must pay heed to that. We have discussed the steps that you can take to solve this app offloading/reinstalling problem very easily.

Why Offload app is stuck for too long on iPhone?

In order to understand why the offloading or reinstallation process is taking so much time, we must know the specifics of the offloading process. The offloading method is somewhat different from your regular app uninstallation process. The standard uninstallation process removes the app, along with all your user data, from the device. But, when you offload an app, iPhone keeps the user data or the app data aside and only deletes the app from the device. So, if the user data is large is size, the offloading process may take a few while to complete. This same statement holds true in case of reinstallation of an offloaded app.

The most basic solution for this is to reinstall the app directly from the App Store. This way, the offloaded app that is stuck for too long will get reinstalled in no time. When you directly reinstall the app, it won’t take much time.

Fix 1 – Reinstall the app

You must get the application reinstalled from the App Store page.

Step 1 – You can go to the App Store.

Step 2 – Next, type the name of the app that is offloaded there in the top search bar.

Step 3 – Open up that specific application store page.

Step 4 – After opening up that page, tap the “Get” or the download icon to download that app on the device.

The time of downloading the app depends on many factors such as network bandwidth, storage type and free space on the device. After downloading the app, you can use the application normally. Check whether you can use it or not.

Fix 2 – Uninstall the app

If the same app is giving you trouble, simply uninstall the app from the iPhone and reinstall the same.

Step 1 – Simply, find the offloaded app in the App Library.

Step 2 – You will notice a small cloud download icon beside its name. So, what you have to do is to hold the app icon there and tap “Remove app” to remove it.
