It seems that the infamous green line problem has started to show its effect on iPhones, as well. Though the number of affected iPhone users are less in number, if you are seeing a green or a white line on your iPhone screen, you must not waste any time. The more you wait, chances are that the number of the lines will increase further on the screen.
NOTE – Upon seeing the green line on the iPhone’s display, do not reset your iPhone. Resetting the iPhone seems to affecting the display and causing more green lines to appear on the screen.
Fix 1 – Try force-restarting the system
The Force-restarting procedure can helpful fixing this problem, if the green line has appeared due to a bug or a glitch.
Step 1 – To execute this easy process, tap the Volume Plus button on the side.
Step 2 – At the next step, you have to do the same thing with the Volume Minus button.
Step 3 – Later, press-hold the same Power button for 15–20 seconds.
This will force-restart your iPhone. When your iPhone restarts, look whether the same green line is appearing on your screen or not.
Fix 2 – Clean the iPhone screen
Use a clean cloth to clean up the iPhone screen.
Step 1 – Detach the case from your iPhone.
Step 2 – Lock the iPhone.
Step 3 – Then, take a clean, soft microfiber cloth and use that to clear the surface of the iPhone screen.
Once you have cleared the surface correctly, see whether you can see the green line on the iPhone screen.
Fix 3 – The iPhone has a physical damage
If your iPhone has received a fall damage or got into an accident where the iPhone has sustained damage, you may see the green line on the iPhone display.
If that is the case, you must visit an Apple authorized service center and get the iPhone looked at by a professional. If any intricate part of your iPhone’s display has received damage in any form, you may have to get the display replaced.
Fix 4 – Detach the screen protector
Using a faulty screen protector for a prolonged period can cause damage to your iPhone’s display. If the screen protector is cracked or have too many scratches, the green line can develop on the iPhone’s display. Replace the screen protector on your iPhone and see for yourself if that fixes the problem or not.
Fix 5 – Get a free screen replacement
If you have not dropped your iPhone or the iPhone have not received any hardware damage, you should book yourself an appointment with an Apple Store genius.
If there is a hardware issue at the core of this problem, they will replace the display at no or minimal cost.
