Discord stuck on black screen in iPhone: Fix

Is the Discord app stuck on black screen on your iPhone? Black screen on Discord means that it is unresponsive. There can be a ton of reasons why the Discord is showing this black screen, but instead of wasting time detecting the issue, where you can bypass this under a minute and get your focus back to the game.

 

Fix 1 – Log into the App via browser

There is a neat trick that you can use to log into the Discord app using a browser.

Step 1 – Open up Safari or Google Chrome, which one you prefer.

Step 2 – Next, load up the Discord log in page in there.

Step 3 – Type your Discord email ID and provide the password in there. Tap the “Log in” to log in to your Discord app.

The moment you try to log into your Discord app from a browser page on iPhone, it will show up the option to continue on the Discord app.

Step 4 – So, use the “Continue on Discord app” option, and you shall be automatically logged into your account on the Discord app.

So, when the Discord opens up, and you are logged in, open up your channel or any other channel. See if this is working or not.

 

Fix 2 – Force-close the Discord app

You have to force-terminate the Discord app and re-open the same.

Step 1 – While using the Discord app, swipe upwards to the list of apps on the foreground and background.

Step 2 – Among these instances of apps, force-quit the Discord app.

Step 3 – A few seconds later, relaunch the Discord app.

See whether the Discord app is still showing up black screen or not.

 

Fix 3 – Reset the network settings

If the Discord app is still stuck in black screen mode, you should reset your network settings.

Step 1 – You can reset the network settings only from the Settings window. So, go this way –

Step 2 – In that specific page, touch to use the “Reset” option.

Step 3 – Next, tap “Reset Network Settings“.

What this does is resets all the network components and saved network credentials on your iPhone. Don’t worry. None of your personal data will be removed in this process.

Step 4 – What you have to do next is to confirm the process. Tap “Reset Network” to reset it.

Generally, iPhone reboots automatically during this process.

When your iPhone boots up, go ahead and connect it to the Wi-Fi (requires authentication) or use the app on cellular data.

Test the Discord’s behavior and see whether it is working or not.

 

Fix 4 – Offload the Discord app

Offload the Discord app from your device, restart your iPhone and later, reinstall the app.

Step 1 – You must get to the Settings page, first.

Step 2 – Then, follow this path –

Step 3 – There, you will find the list of apps that you own/installed on your iPhone.

Step 4 – Now, what you have to do next is to find the “Discord” app and open that up from there.

Step 5 – Next, tap “Offload App” option to offload the Discord app.

After offloading the Discord app, get out of there.

Step 6 – Next, hold the Power button and the Volume Up buttons together to get the power off prompt.

Step 7 – Use the slider to switch off the iPhone.

Step 8 – Later, restart your iPhone.

Step 9 – Next, go to the App Store and reinstall the Discord app from there.

Once you have installed the Discord app, log in using your accounts and check whether you can use the Discord app or not.
