Seeing this error “Flash is Disabled” message on your iPhone? If you turn on the flashlight on your iPhone for too long, this warning message shows up. Along with the error message, the flashlight also stops working. You can’t turn on the flashlight on your iPhone, unless it cools down after some time.
Why the Flash is disabled on your iPhone?
The flashlight uses the iPhone’s battery to light up your surroundings. This conversion of energy does emit a lot of heat in this process. This heat in change warms up the back of your iPhone. There is no cooling chamber present on your iPhone. So, when you continue to use the flashlight for too long, the heat starts to get into the other part of the iPhone.
There is a ceiling to how much heat that your iPhone can bear. So, if the flashlight is turned on for too long and the temperature of the iPhone does hit the highest allowable mark, it automatically shows up this warning message. Use these fixes to troubleshoot this flashlight problem.
Fix 1 – Disable the Low Power Mode
The Low Power Mode on your iPhone can put up the flashlight warning message earlier than usual.
Step 1 – Open the Settings.
Step 2 – Go to the “Battery” settings on your iPhone.
Step 3 – Turn off the “Low Power Mode” in there.
We recommend you charge the iPhone appropriately before you try to use the flashlight again. This way, the message won’t show up quickly.
Fix 2 – Turn off the iPhone
There is one more procedure that you can do. This procedure has resolved the problem for many users.
Step 1 – At first, turn off the flashlight on your iPhone.
Step 2 – Then, swipe down once to reach the Control Center.
Step 3 – Tap and hold the power button in there for a few seconds.
Step 4 – Use the slider to shut down the iPhone.
Step 5 – Once you do shut it down, get the device out of the hard case.
Step 6 – After this, just press down the flashlight region on the back of the device. Gently press the camera-flashlight region on your iPhone.
After you have done this, you can restart the iPhone. Then, you can use the flashlight on your iPhone. Check if this works on your device.
