Gmail signature is an excellent tool to add a personal touch to your outgoing emails. But, generic signatures with less aesthetic appeal can definitely ruin the purpose of having a personalized signature. A signature is much more than just a combination of a few letters, or your name, in a single line. Your signature portrays your mentality, achievements, and many things more. Nothing is more personal than a cool, authentic and unique signature. You can easily design a good signature using Canva.
How to create a cool Gmail signature using Canva?
Email signatures consist of multiple unique parts, like your display picture, phone number, your portfolio site, and the most important one, your email address. We have shown the step-by-step approach to create your signature using Canva signature generator.
STEP 1 – Creating the signature
Step 1 – Open up the Canva signature generator.
Step 2 – Find the “Create a signature” option on the screen and start creating the email signature.
Step 3 – Log in to your Canva account using any of the methods you prefer. There is no hustle to create a new account as it allows direct Google log-ins.
Once you have logged in, you will see the signature creation panel on Canva.
Step 4 – Now, tap the three-bar button on the left-hand top.
Step 5 – Tap the “Templates” to load up the signature templates.
Step 6 – Scroll through hundreds of templates and choose any one of these templates of your choice.
NOTE – The templates that carry a 👑sign, those are reserved for the Canva Pro users.
Step 7 – The selected template will load up on the current Canva page. You may delete any residue templates from your page.
Step 8 – The images, texts like your name, call, phone number, everything is editable.
Step 9 – Select the text in there and modify it according to your preference and style.
Step 10 – Select the text that you want to modify, such as your name.
Step 11 – Then, choose a different style from there to apply it there.
Step 12 – If you selected a template with a profile photo, you can change it.
Step 13 – Select the “Uploads” section from the left column. Then, tap “Upload files” option there.
Step 14 – Choose your photo that you want to use in the template.
Step 15 – Tap “Open” to add the image to the template directly.
Step 16 – Check the image in the Canva directory to add it to the template.
Step 17 – You can drag the image to position it properly in the template.
Step 18 – Make the additional changes in the template to personalize it properly according to your preference.
Step 19 – Once you are satisfied with the change, tap the “Share” button on the right-tap corner.
Step 20 – Then, tap “Download” option.
This way, you have got your customized signature. So, it is time to insert it to the Gmail account.
NOTE – Instead of downloading the file directly, you can just a shareable link from the Canva console to use it directly on the Gmail client.
STEP 2 – Inject the signature in Gmail
In the second part of the process, we will be inserting the signature in your Gmail settings.
Step 1 – Open up your Gmail account on the browser.
Step 2 – Then, tap the “⚙” button on the top and tap “See All Settings” to load up the Gmail settings console.
Step 3 – Find the “Signature” in the Gmail settings.
Step 4 – Tap the “Create new” button to create a new signature on your Gmail client.
Step 5 – Give it a name. Tap “Create” to save the signature.
Step 6 – Tap the image on the console to load up the image.
Now, you have to upload the image directly to the Google Drive.
Step 7 – Go to the “Google Drive” console. Tap “Upload” section from the left-hand side.
Step 8 – Tap “Browse” panel.
Step 9 – Select the image from your local drive and tap “Open” to upload the image to the drive.
Step 10 – You must permit others to view this image (this will be your signature, which shall be seen by others via Gmail).
Step 11 – Tap “Allow” to allow the change.
Step 12 – You will see your signature has appeared in the box format. But, due to the resolution of the uploaded signature, you may not be able to view it right away.
Step 13 – So, you must reduce the size of the signature. Tap the signature once.
Step 14 – Thereafter, you can set it “Small“, “Medium” and “Large” mode.
That’s it! All your sent emails will contain your personalized signature, irrespective of the Gmail client or device.
NOTE – You can also draw your signature on a touch-screen input panel, if you want a more preferable signature, instead of typographical fonts, you can use that as well.
