Many iPhone users are complaining about unusual problems with their iPhones. Preliminary Fix
Try to Swipe the phone to left and right from the centre (Vertically middle portion of the phone) portion of the screen .
Fix 1 – Force Restart your iPhone
Many iPhone users have said that force restarting the iPhone has helped them in fixing many major problems with their iPhones and this can be done simply using the steps below.
Step 1: To force restart the iPhone, first, you need to press the volume up button once and release it.
Step 2: After that, press the volume down button and release it.
Step 3: Now press the power button of your iPhone for around 10 seconds till you see the Apple logo sign on the screen.
Step 4: After the iPhone starts, try and check if the problem is resolved.
Fix 2 – Swipe iPhone Screen in the Center
Sometimes, when we swipe on the edge or at the very bottom of the iPhone screen, it does not work. Many iPhone users have reported that they were able to do it when they swiped the iPhone screen in the center.
Therefore, we recommend our users try swiping the iPhone screen in the center and not at the top or bottom of the screen as shown below.
Fix 3 – Turn Off Show on Home Screen
There is an option called Show on Home Screen when enabled a search bar appears on the home screen of your iPhone. So turning off this option can resolve the issue.
Step 1: First of all, you have to go to the Settings page by tapping on the settings icon from the home screen.
Step 2: Then scroll down and go to the Home Screen option by tapping on it.
Step 3: Turn off the Show on Home Screen option by tapping on its toggle button as shown in the below screenshot.
After it is disabled, check whether you are able to swipe left or right on your iPhone.
Fix 4 – Update your iPhone
If you find that your iPhone is not updated to its latest version, there might arise many problems on your iPhone. So try updating your iPhone using the steps below.
Step 1: Unlock your iPhone and head to the Settings page by tapping on the settings icon.
Step 2: Now click on the General option as shown below.
Step 3: You need to select the Software Update option by tapping on it.
Step 4: Wait for a few seconds till it checks for any updates and loads it.
Step 5: If you find any updates available, please download and install them on your iPhone.
