iPhone screen is flickering – How to fix

Face screen flickering issue on your iPhone? Among all the display related issues seen on the iPhone, screen flickering can be considered the worst of them all. At first, you may not pay heed to the situation, but using the iPhone while the display is flickering for too long can be harmful for your eyes as well. In that case, these fixes will help you reach a quick resolution.

Fix 1 – Screen is flickering due to damage

The actual reason for the screen flickering can be due to any physical damage. Like, if your iPhone has fall from a certain height or suffered impact damage, the screen may start to flicker after some time. When the device suffers such a damage, the connection between the display port and the actual motherboard come loose. This loose connection may cause the iPhone screen to flicker. You can try to mend this following this simple workaround instructions.

Step 1 – Lock the iPhone.

Step 2 After locking the iPhone, use your fingers to massage the upper portion of the iPhone’s display. Don’t press too hard on the display, otherwise you may make things worse.

Step 3 – Continue doing this for a few minutes.

The iPhone screen should stop flickering by now.

NOTE – If the iPhone screen is still flickering even after executing the steps, go to the next solution.

Fix 2 – Force reboot the device

Force restarting the iPhone should fix the sudden screen flickering problem.

Step 1 – At first, you have to hit the volume plus key on the iPhone’s side panel.

Step 2 – Then, tap and release the Volume Down button as well.

Step 3 – Now, all that is left for you to do is to press-hold the Power button. You may do this until the iPhone shuts down and restart automatically.
