There are quite a many numbers of reports found that explain the problem faced by many Roblox users. Roblox users have complained that they cannot join any games on the Roblox app on their iPhones.
Some users also said they were having trouble loading the games on Roblox with one of the error codes 267, 279, etc. The reasons for causing this issue on an iPhone are a poor internet connection, technical issues with the Roblox app, corrupted Roblox app data, wrong Date and Time set on iPhone, etc.
After researching these points mentioned above, we have figured out a set of troubleshooting ideas in the article below that will help you in fixing this issue on your iPhone.
Fix 1 – Update the Roblox app on your iPhone
Step 1: Open the App Store on your iPhone.
Step 2: Search for the Roblox app page on App Store.
Step 3: To do so, go to the Search tab and type roblox at the top search bar and then select the Roblox app from the dropdown.
Step 4: If it displays Update, please click on it to start updating the Roblox app.
Step 5: The Roblox app is already at its latest version if it shows Open.
Fix 2 – Offload the Roblox app
Step 1: Go to the Settings app first.
Step 2: Then move to the General option by clicking on it.
Step 3: Later, select the iPhone Storage option just by tapping on it as shown in the below screenshot.
Step 4: This might take some time to load the details of the iPhone Storage depending on the data size.
Step 5: Once it loads the data, find the Roblox app from the list of applications installed on your iPhone and click on it.
Step 6: Now select the Offload App on the Roblox app page.
Step 7: Confirm it by tapping on Offload App from the context menu on the screen.
Step 8: Once it offloads the Roblox app, click Reinstall App.
Step 9: This starts reinstalling the Roblox app on your iPhone without losing any of your personal data.
Fix 3 – Set the Correct Date and Time Settings
Step 1: Click on the Settings icon from the home screen.
Step 2: After the Settings page opens, go to the General option as shown below.
Step 3: On the General page, find the Date & Time option and click on it.
Step 4: Now please click on the Set Automatically option’s toggle switch to enable it.
This will make sure that the correct date and time will be set on your iPhone.
Fix 4 – Force Close the Roblox app and reopen
Step 1: To force close any of the apps running in the background, you have to open the app switcher.
Step 2: For that, you have to swipe the iPhone screen from the bottom left corner towards the right side.
Step 3: After the App Switcher is open, search for the Roblox app from the apps running in the background.
Step 4: To force close the Roblox app, you have to swipe it upward.
Step 5: Once it is closed, you can now reopen it by tapping on the Roblox app icon from the home screen.
Fix 5 – Reinstall the Roblox app on your iPhone
Step 1: Go to the home screen on your iPhone and search for the Roblox app.
Step 2: Now long press on the Roblox app icon and select the Remove App option from the context menu.
Step 3: After that, tap on the Delete App from the pop-up menu.
Step 4: To continue, just tap Delete.
Step 5: This starts uninstalling/deleting the Roblox app from your iPhone.
Step 6: Once the Roblox app gets deleted, go to the App Store and search for the Roblox app page.
Step 7: Then click on the Cloud-shaped symbol to start installing the Roblox app.
Additional Tips
- Test your Internet Connection – The Roblox app needs a strong Internet connection to load or join any games. So try restarting the Wi-Fi router or switching to mobile data.
- Check the Roblox server status – If the Roblox server is down for any reason, you will not be able to load and play any games on the app. So check the Roblox server status and if it is down, please wait for a few hours and then try again.
- Try using a web browser for Roblox games – If nothing else is working, please try login into your Roblox using a web browser like Chrome, Safari, etc. on your iPhone and see if this works.
