Unable to complete data transfer to new iPhone : Fix

Can’t transfer your data to the new iPhone? There are certain things that you must keep in mind while transferring your data to the new phone. Otherwise, the data transfer may fail in the middle of the process. Once you have gone all these, there won’t be any problem transferring your data from the older to the new iPhone.

Fix 1 – Maintain good battery level on both the phones

Both the phones must have 50% or more battery before the data transfer begins. Make sure to charge both the phones properly before you initiate the process.



Fix 2 – Enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi

The Bluetooth and Wi-Fi functions should be enabled on both the phones. These functions will be enabled while transferring the data from one device to another.

Step 1 – Swipe your finger from the top to open the Control Center.

Step 2 – Next, toggle the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi features.

Step 3 – Do the same thing on the other phone as well.

After this, you can transfer the data from one device to another.

 

Fix 3 – Update both the phones

Both the devices must be of the same iOS version. So, you should install all the pending updates on both the devices.

Step 1 – In the Settings tab, go to the “General” tab.

Step 2 – Open the “Software Updates” option.

You will see the pending updates for your phone. So, install all the pending updates and try to initiate the data transfer between the devices.



 

Fix 4 – Skip the Apple Wallet and Face ID setup on the new phone

If you are still facing issues with data transfer, you can skip the Apple Wallet and Face ID setup step on the new iPhone.

It seems that if you set up the Apple Wallet and Face ID, the saved authentication data can create problems transfer erring your data from the older device to the new one.

So, skip the steps to set up Apple Wallet and Face ID on the phone before you start to transfer the files.
