What happens when you open the Kindle app to purchase your favorite, but there isn’t any option to buy that book in there? Some of the iPhone/iPad users have faced this problem where this message is showing up “This app does not support purchasing.” in the Kindle app. You have to take alternative measures to troubleshoot this issue.
Fix – Buy the book from a browser
This error seems to be happening on the Amazon app. So, you can log in to your Amazon account from an alternative browser, purchase it there, and then you can read it on the Kindle app on any other device.
Step 1 – Open up a browser of your preference.
Step 2 – Go to a new, fresh tab and then visit Amazon. Tap the “Sign in” option at the top bar.
Step 3 – Input using your Amazon account ID and password. Then, tap the “Sign in” to complete the signing in process.
There is a verification step involved in this process. Complete that and the signing process is complete.
Step 4 – Once you have logged in, tap the three bar button in the top-left corner.
Step 5 – Tap the “See All Categories” button to view all the available categories on Amazon.
Step 6 – Later, scroll up and find the “Ebooks” category. Tap on it.
Step 7 – Now, find the e-book that you wanted to purchase on Amazon.
Step 8 – Tap the “Buy now” button to purchase the book.
Step 9 – Complete the payment process.
Once you have purchased the book successfully, it should be synced with all the devices where you have the Kindle app.
Step 10 – So, you can tap the “Go to Kindle for iOS” option.
This will take you to the Kindle app on your iOS. There you can read the books.
Additionally, you can enjoy the same book on the Kindle app on any device, provided that you have logged in with the same account.
NOTE – Once you purchase a Kindle format of a book on Amazon, it will automatically get synced to your library. So, you can access your purchased or owned books from any device of your choice (like your iPad, MacBook, or iPhone).
