Does your iPhone stuck only to an SOS only status bar on your iPhone? Seeing the SOS only status bar will be the last thing that you want to experience on the device. The troubleshooting guide begins with the most basic fixes and thereafter, if that doesn’t work, you may follow the rest of the solutions to troubleshoot the issue.

 

Fix 1 – Use the Airplane mode

Put the Airplane mode and later, disable it on the device. Doing this will reset the iPhone’s network.

Step 1 – Scroll upward to get access to the Control Center.

Step 2 – Next, turn on the “Airplane mode” on the iPhone.

This should disable all the network connectivity on the device.

 

 

Step 3 – Wait for 5 seconds and then, turn off the Airplane mode.

 

 

This should get you out of the SOS mode on your iPhone. Try calling someone or check the cellular network connectivity.

 

Fix 2 – Eject the SIM and re-insert it

Eject the SIM card from your iPhone and re-insert it.

Step 1 – Use a SIM Pin ejector tool to detach the SIM card tray.

Step 2 – Wait for 5 seconds or so and then re-insert the tray.

This should restore the normal mobile network connectivity to the device. There won’t be any more problem of SOS mode on your iPhone.

 

Fix 3 – Turn on data roaming

Turning on the Data roaming settings should solve the issue.

Step 1 – At first, open up the Settings page and go to the “Mobile Service” or “Cellular data” settings.

 

 

Step 2 – Open the “Mobile Data Options” category.

 

 

Step 3 – Turn on the “Mobile Data Roaming” option.

After turning this on, check the status of the SOS mode on your device.

Step 4 – If is still stuck in the SOS mode, go to the “Voice & Data” option.

Step 5 – Switch to the “4G” if you are already using any of the ‘5G On’ or ‘5G Auto’ options.

This should have fixed the issue.

 

Fix 4 – Automate the network selection

Disable the Network Selection mode, re-enable the same to fix the process.

Step 1 – In the Settings page and load up the “Mobile Data” settings.

 

 

Step 2 – Open the “Network Selection” module.

 

 

Step 3 – Disable the “Automatic” mode. Wait for a few seconds.

 

 

Step 4 – Then, re-enable the “Automatic” mode once again.

 

 

After this, the iPhone shall be out of the SOS mode. Check whether this works or not.

 

Fix 5 – Reset the network settings

If you are still stuck with the SOS mode on your iPhone, reset the network settings.

Step 1 – Open the Settings page and go to the “General” tab.

 

Step 2 – Follow this path from there –

Transfer or reset iPhone  > Reset

 

 

Step 3 – Select the “Reset Network Settings” option there.

 

 

After resetting the network on the iPhone, it should get out of the SOS mode.
