QR Code not working in iPhone – How to fix

Can’t scan any QR code with your iPhone? Scanning a QR code is one of the easiest things that you can do using your iPhone’s camera. If your iPhone’s camera is not reading QR codes, there must be an issue with its settings. So, without wasting any more time, follow these fixes to solve it.

 

Fix 1 – Enable the Scan QR Codes

Scanning QR Codes is an option in the Camera settings.

Step 1 –  You have to go to the iPhone Settings.



Step 2 – Go down to the bottom to find and open the “Camera” section.

Step 3 – In the Camera settings page, locate the “Scan QR Code” option and enable it.

After enabling this function, scanning QR codes won’t be of much problem. Just use the Scan QR code option, point your camera to it, and you can easily read that.

 

Fix 2 – Allow the Code Scanner feature

You have to permit the Code Scanner feature to appear on the Control Center.

Step 1 – To do this, you must visit the Settings tab on your iPhone.

Step 2 While you are in there, go to the Control Center settings.

Step 3 – In the Control Center, look for the “Code Scanner” item, there.

Step 4 – If you can’t put it in the visibility list, you can drag the “Code Scanner” to the top part of the list.

This way, you can make the ‘Code Scanner’ visible in the Control Center. Try to scan the QR code using it.

 

Fix 3 – Reset All Settings

Resetting All the settings can help fix this QR code scanning issue on your iPhone.

NOTE – Resetting the setting doesn’t mean that your personal data will get removed from your iPhone Settings. This only deletes the Settings customizations from the device. But, it also includes the items like your Wi-Fi passwords or settings modifications will be deleted from the device. You can reconnect to the network after the process is complete.

Step 1 – Go to the Settings and, later, open up the “General” tab.

Step 2 – Next, visit the “Transfer or reset iPhone” option.

Step 3 – Later, touch the “Reset” option there.

Step 4 – After seeing the Reset panel, tap the “Reset All Settings” menu.

Resetting the settings on the iPhone requires your Apple passkey. Next, your iPhone shall go through a normal system reboot.  The resetting process won’t take much time.
