Does the Gmail calendar not syncing on your iPhone? Gmail calendars are not as same as the iCloud Calendars. So, the same settings and modifiers won’t work as usual. You have to use the steps that we have mentioned here to overcome this Gmail Calendar problem on your iPhone.
Why Gmail Calendar is not syncing on my iPhone?
There are different types of Calendars present on your iPhone and you can operate all the calendars directly from the device. All the events, meetings shows up according to the calendar that you have on your iPhone. But, if the synchronization breaks down, the events won’t show up on your iPhone properly.
There must be some problem in the Gmail settings on your iPhone. This is the reason why the calendar events from the iPhone are not showing up properly.
Fix 1 – Enable Gmail Calendars
You must enable the Gmail calendars from the iPhone Settings tab.
Step 1 – At first, load up the Settings window.
Step 2 – Later, open up the “Apps” tab.
Step 3 – After opening the Apps tab, you can open up the “Calendar” app.
Step 4 – In the Calendar app, tap the “Calendar Accounts” panel.
Step 5 – Open up the “Gmail” tab.
Step 6 – In the Gmail tab, turn on the “Calendars” option.
Once you have enabled it, check whether the Gmail Calendar is working or not.
Fix 2 – Change the Fetch New data to automatically mode
The Gmail calendar needs to be refreshed automatically to pull the event details directly from the Gmail Calendar.
Step 1 – At first, load up the iPhone Settings.
Step 2 – Next, go to the “Apps” tab.
Step 3 – After this, open the “Calendar” app once more.
Step 4 – After opening the Calendar app, touch to open the “Calendar Accounts” module.
Step 5 – Open up the “Fetch New Data” option.
Step 6 – In that page, set the ‘Fetch’ mode to “Automatically” mode from the drop-down list.
After editing the Fetch settings of the Gmail, close the Settings page. The events on the Gmail calendar will be updated automatically.
Fix 3 – Remove the Google account and add it later
Remove the Google account from your iPhone and later, add the account to the device.
Step 1 – Load up the Settings page and go this way –
App > Calendar
Step 2 – Access the “Calendar Accounts” option.
Step 3 – In that page, open up the “Gmail” category.
Step 4 – Tap the “Delete Account” to delete the Gmail account.
Once you have deleted the Gmail account, you have to add the Gmail account to your iPhone.
Step 5 – Follow these steps if you already have exited the Calendar page –
Apps > Calendar > Calendar Accounts
Step 6 – Tap the “Add Account” option to add your account.
Step 7 – Follow the on-screen steps and set up the Gmail account just like before.
Once you are done, the Gmail Calendars syncing issues should be gone.
