Preliminary Fixes
- Force Restart your iPhone – Press and release the volume up button and then press the volume down button and release it. After it is done, press and hold the power button till you see the Apple logo on the iPhone screen.
- Restart your Wi-Fi router – Most of the time, the problem may reside in the Wi-Fi router for such issues related to network connectivity. So try restarting the router once and checking whether the Wi-Fi router is working or not.
- Update your iPhone – These kinds of problems arise when you have not installed any latest updates from Apple for your iPhone.
Fix 1 – Forget the Wi-Fi network and Join it again
Step 1: First of all, go to the Settings page on your iPhone.
Step 2: then go to the Wi-Fi option from the settings menu list.
Step 3: Now tap on the “i” symbol of your Wi-Fi network.
Step 4: Then click Forget This Network at the top of the Wi-Fi network page.
Step 5: This disconnects and erases the saved password of the Wi-Fi network you wanted.
Step 6: After waiting for some time, re-join this Wi-Fi network by tapping on it and entering the network password.
Step 7: On successfully authenticating the password, your iPhone then connects to the Wi-Fi network.
Fix 2 – Reset Network Settings
Step 1: Click on the settings icon to open the Settings app.
Step 2: On opening the settings app, click on the General option.
Step 3: Select the Transfer or Reset iPhone option at the bottom.
Step 4: Click on Reset.
Step 5: Tap on the Reset Network Settings option from the context menu list that popped up on the screen.
Step 6: It might ask you to enter your iPhone passcode to verify.
Step 7: After successfully verifying, tap on Reset Network Settings to confirm.
Step 8: This starts resetting the network settings on your iPhone.
Fix 3 – Turn On Airplane Mode and then turn it off
Step 1: Open the Settings app.
Step 2: Tap on the Airplane Mode toggle button to enable it.
Step 3: After it gets enabled, it will disconnect all the network connections on the iPhone including the mobile network as well.
Step 4: Once done, disable the Airplane Mode option by tapping on its toggle switch to grey.
Fix 4 – Disable Wi-Fi Assist and Enable it later
Step 1: Launch the Settings app first.
Step 2: Now select the Mobile Data option by clicking on it.
Step 3: After that, scroll down the Mobile Data page to the bottom.
Step 4: Turn Off the Wi-Fi Assist option by tapping on its toggle switch.
Step 5: Now you have to wait for some time and then turn the Wi-Fi Assist feature on by clicking on its toggle button as shown in the below screenshot.
Fix 5 – Disconnect any VPN connection
Step 1: To starts with, tap on the settings icon from the home screen.
Step 2: This opens the Settings app.
Step 3: Now choose the General option by clicking on it.
Step 4: Scroll down and click on the VPN & Device Management option.
Step 5: Tap on the VPN option at the top as shown.
Step 6: Here make sure your iPhone is not connected to any VPN.
Step 7: If there is any VPN already connected, please disconnect it.
