Apple has always taken great measures to make sure its users get the best experience with utmost privacy and security regarding their data. Despite this assurance, many iPhone users have reported this issue where they have been getting privacy warning messages on their iPhones under connected Wi-Fi networks.
Since iPhone users are getting this privacy warning, they are quite insecure and scared about using the Wi-Fi network on their iPhones. This could be due to internal technical faults, changes made to the network settings, disabling the privacy settings on the Wi-Fi network, etc.
In this article, we are going to explain how this issue could be fixed using different techniques easily.
Fix 1 – Turn On the Private Wi-Fi Address option for the Wi-Fi Network
Step 1: Tap on the settings icon to open the Settings app.
Step 2: Click on the Wi-Fi option as shown below.
Step 3: Now select the Wi-Fi network connected to your iPhone by clicking on its “i” symbol as shown.
Step 4: Once opened, tap on Private Wi-Fi Address’s toggle button to turn it on.
Step 5: After that, you need to enable Limit IP Address Tracking by clicking on its toggle switch.
Step 6: Now, turn off your wifi , wait for few seconds and then turn it back on again
Fix 2 – Forget the Wi-Fi network and Rejoin it
Step 1: Open the Settings app by tapping on the settings icon.
Step 2: After the Settings page is open, click on the Wi-Fi option.
Step 3: Tap on the “i” symbol of the Wi-Fi network connected to your iPhone as shown in the image below.
Step 4: Click on Forget this network at the top of the Wi-Fi network page as shown.
Step 5: Now tap on the Forget option on the popped-up window.
Step 6: Once the Wi-Fi network’s saved password is erased, click on the same Wi-Fi network from the list of Networks.
Step 7: Enter the Wi-Fi network’s password and click Join.
This reconnects the Wi-Fi network to your iPhone. Now test whether the issue still persists.
Fix 3 – Use a Secure VPN connection
Step 1: Go to your Settings page on your iPhone.
Step 2: Click on the General option from the Settings menu list.
Step 3: Scroll down and tap on the VPN & Device Management option.
Step 4: Now select the VPN option at the top of the page as shown in the below screenshot.
Step 5: After that, choose any of the secured VPN connections here and connect them to your iPhone.
Fix 4 – Reset Network Settings on your iPhone
Step 1: Launch the Settings app by tapping on the settings icon from your home screen.
Step 2: Once the settings page appears, select the General option.
Step 3: Now click on the Transfer or Reset iPhone option as shown in the below screenshot.
Step 4: Tap on Reset at the bottom of the page as shown.
Step 5: This pops up a menu list on the screen.
Step 6: You have to select the Reset Network Settings option from the list.
Step 7: Enter the iPhone passcode for authentication purposes.
Step 8: After that, confirm it again by tapping on Reset Network Settings.
Step 9: It will then begin to start resetting your network settings on your iPhone.
Additional Fix
Restart your iPhone
Many iPhone users have claimed that they were able to fix this privacy warning issue by restarting their iPhones. This eliminates any chances of technical glitches within the iPhone and fixes all types of problems created due to this.
