If you are using iMessage for a while now, you may have faced this issue where the iMessages seems not to deliver your messages on your iPhone. Let’s not focus on the reason why you are facing this problem, but to solve it. This way, your messages will get delivered normally just like before in no time.
Fix 1 – Switch on the iMessage option
You should turn on the iMessage option on your iPhone settings.
Step 1 – You can do this from the iMessages settings, only.
Step 2 – So, open the iPhone Settings and scroll all the way down to open the “Apps“.
Step 3 – Once you have opened the Apps list, open the “Messages” app in there.
Step 4 – Here, find the “iMessage” option in there. If it is disabled, enable it right away.
Step 5 – But, what if the iMessages option is already turned on, disable it.
Step 6 – Then, wait for a few seconds. Next, enable the iMessage option.
Once you have enabled the iMessage option, iMessages will get delivered to your contacts normally.
Do see whether this has worked and the messages are getting delivered or not.
Fix 2 – Turn off the Flight Mode and re-enable it
Sometimes, all that it takes is putting the iPhone in Flight Mode and disabling that. Doing this will reset your iPhone’s network, delivering all the pending messages.
Step 1 – To do this, swipe down to open the SettingsĀ (you can do this from the Control Center, as well).
Step 2 – You will see the “Airplane Mode” button, right there.
Step 3 – Invoke the Airplane mode.
Doing this will sever all of your network connection on your iPhone (like – Wi-Fi, Mobile Data).
Step 4 – Give the iPhone a few seconds while you are in the Airplane Mode.
Step 5 – Later, go to the same settings and disable the Airplane mode.
You will see your carrier network bars have reappeared on your iPhone status bar in no time.
Check with the messages to see whether those messages got delivered or not.
Fix 3 – Turn on the Send as SMS feature
You need to tamper with the iMessage settings and turn on the ‘Send as SMS’ feature on your iMessages settings.
Step 1 – Go to the Settings and open up the “Apps” tab.
Step 2 – Next, open the “Messages” settings.
Step 3 – In the main iMessages settings, find the “Send as SMS” feature and turn it on.
Your iMessages will get delivered without any more issues. Do check with the recipient to confirm whether the messages got delivered or not.
Fix 4 – Install any pending updates
The problem can be originating from a bug in the current version of the iOS you are using. Updating your iPhone should fix the problem.
Step 1 – At first, get to your Settings page and open up the “General” tab.
Step 2 – When you are in the General tab, tap the “Software Update” to open it up.
Step 3 – When the Software Update page loads up, you can install it on your iPhone.
Doing this should take care of the problem with the iMessage settings.
See if whether the messages have appeared or got delivered.
Fix 5 – Sign out from your Apple ID and sign back in
Sign out of the Apple ID and later sign in to it on your iPhone.
Step 1 – While you are on your Settings page on your iPhone, tap your name banner to access the Apple ID settings.
Step 2 – In the main Apple ID page, tap the “Sign out” feature.
It does need to verify your access using your Face ID. So, once it is verified, you can go ahead and completely log out from your Apple account.
This process may take a few minutes.
After this, return to the Settings page and use the “Sign in using your Apple ID” in the same page to log in using your Apple credentials.
