Contact Poster not working in iPhone: Fix

Can’t view the Contact Posters on your iPhone? Some iOS users have recently complained that they are facing trouble viewing Contact Posters on none of their contacts on iPhone. Contact Poster only appears for the contacts that you have modified with their contact poster. But, if the Contact Poster doesn’t appear for none of your close contacts, you have a problem at your hand. You may fix it following these steps.

 

Fix 1 – Send a demo message

You can just send a demo message to the account for which you are not seeing any Contact Poster.

Step 1 – Open the iMessages app and load up the account where you are not seeing the Contact Poster.

Step 2 – After opening up the contact list, send a demo text message from there (Like, a ‘Hi’ or ‘Hello’).

After sending one or two demo messages, the Contact Poster should re-appear on the contact header.

If it is still not showing up there, go for the next solution.

 

Fix 2 – Assign a new photo to the contact

Assign a new Contact Photo as the Contact Poster for the contact.

Step 1 – Go to the Phone app.

Step 2 – In the Contacts tab, open up the contact in there.

Step 3 – After opening up the contact, tap the “Edit” button.

Step 4 – Tap the “Add photo” option.

Step 4 – If you can’t find any contact photo assigned to that contact, you have to set a new contact image.

Step 5 – Just select a photo of your liking and tap “Done” to set the image as the Contact Poster.

After assigning a new Contact Poster, give it a few seconds, and you will see the Contact Poster has appeared both in the Phone app and iMessages app.



 

Fix 3 – Use a different type for the Contact Poster

If you are having this problem with a contact that have a Contact Poster already, you can just change the style of it.

Step 1 – Go to the Phone app and open up the contact there.

Step 2 – Tap the “Contact Photo & Poster” menu to open it up.

Step 3 – Click the “Edit” button to edit that Contact Poster.

Step 4 – Next, swipe across to choose from a different style of contact poster for the contact.

Step 5 – Tap the “Done” to customize the Contact Poster for your account.

After modifying the Contact Poster for the account, you are good to go. Call that person, and you will see the Contact Poster right there.

 

Fix 4 – Enable the Caller ID

Contact Photo or Posters doesn’t work if you have hidden your Caller ID.

Step 1 – Open the Settings page and go to the “Apps” menu.

Step 2 – You must open the “Phone” app.

Step 3 When you have opened the Phone app, touch to open the “Show My Caller ID” option.

Step 4 – Make sure the “Show My Caller ID” option is turned on.

After enabling the Caller ID option, you will see the Contact Posters again.

 

Fix 5 – Delete the Contact Poster and add a new photo

The last solution is very simple. Remove the Contact Photo or Poster from that specific account and assign a new photo to it.

Step 1 – Go to your Phone app.

Step 2 – Next, load the account in the Phone app.

Step 3 – Tap the “Contact & Photo & Poster” to load it up.

Step 4 – Tap “Edit” .

Step 5 – Now, hold and swipe up the Contact Photo in the following page.

Step 6 – You will see the Delete icon. Touch that to delete the Contact Photo from your contact.

After removing the account photo, you should be back to the landing page of the contact information.

Step 7 – Next, tap the “Edit” button.

Step 8 Now, you have to set a new contact image for that account.

Step 9 – Just select a photo of your liking and tap “Done” to set the image as the Contact Poster.

Step 10 – Follow through the steps to complete setting up the image as the Contact Poster.

This should fix the problem with the Contact Poster.
