How to Fix iMessage Not Syncing with Mac [Solved]

Fix 1 – Check your Internet Connection

Unlike the old method of messaging where you needed only a mobile network signal for sending SMS to others, nowadays most smartphones have Rich Communication Services for sending advanced type of messages, that needs a strong internet connection on your iPhones.

If your iPhone does not have a good internet signal, it might be the reason for not being able to sync iMessage with Mac or other devices. Therefore, you should first restart your Wi-Fi router once and if it still does not improve the internet signal, please use the mobile data for a better internet connection.



Fix 2 – Disable iMessage Settings and Enable it

Step 1: Open the Settings page on the iPhone.

Step 2: Then scroll down and you have to click on the Messages option from the list of settings menu.

Fix 3 – Verify the Email Address and Phone numbers on iPhone

Step 1: Go to the Settings app by tapping on the settings icon.

Step 2: After that, go to the Messages option.

Step 3: Select the Send & Receive option by tapping on it as shown in the below image.

Step 4: Here, you need to verify all the email addresses and phone numbers listed and whether they are correct.

Fix 4 – Check if the Phone Number mapped to Apple ID is correct

Step 1: First of all, visit the Apple ID webpage.

Step 2: Afterwards, click on Sign In at the top as shown below.

Step 3: Log in using your Apple ID credentials.

Step 4: Once you have logged in using your Apple ID, select the Personal Information option from the left side panel.

Step 5: Then scroll down and click on Reachable At on the right side.

Step 6: Here you need to make sure the Email Address and Phone numbers are correct.



Step 7: If not, please correct it by adding the correct ones.

Fix 5 – Ensure the Correct Apple ID is used on the Mac iMessage app

Step 1: Log into your Macbook and go to the top menu bar and click Messages.

Step 2: Then select the Preferences option from the dropdown menu list.

Step 3: This pops up a Messages app Preferences window.

Step 4: Now first select the iMessage tab on the window.

Step 5: After selecting it, click on Settings just below it.

Step 6: It will display the Apple IDs used to log into the Messages app on your Mac.
