My Windows 10 internet connection became unreliable after my cable provider replaced my internet modem.
Sometimes, I would have to do a forced shutdown several times before I could access the internet.
I then followed the instructions shown in your Fix 1 - Change Duplex Settings.
Since that time some 2 weeks ago, I have not encountered any further internet connection problems.
Thank you so much for your advice.

None of this worked. When I turn the router off/on, upon reboot I see the ethernet lights just fine. Bought a new cable and all. On network connections, I clicked on the ethernet logo, then "change settings of this connection" then "configure". It says 'device status: this device is working properly.' Not sure where to go from here.
