Thanks for posting this. The steps didn’t work for me & I didn’t want to put any more effort into it, so, in the end, I just bought a wireless USB adapter for $30 which is working wonderfully.

My Windows 10 internet connection became unreliable after my cable provider replaced my internet modem.
Sometimes, I would have to do a forced shutdown several times before I could access the internet.
I then followed the instructions shown in your Fix 1 – Change Duplex Settings.
Since that time some 2 weeks ago, I have not encountered any further internet connection problems.

I followed all the steps above but my Dell Inspiron 15 Network Cable remained ‘unplugged’ How can I get if the hardware is okay?

None of this worked. When I turn the router off/on, upon reboot I see the ethernet lights just fine. Bought a new cable and all. On network connections, I clicked on the ethernet logo, then “change settings of this connection” then “configure”. It says ‘device status: this device is working properly.’ Not sure where to go from here.

I had this problem so I changed the duplex setting from auto negotiate to 100 mbps full duplex which fixed the problem.Now(1-2 weeks) after ethernet isnt working again but again the problem is fixed when i change the value to 10mbps full duplex.Whats going on?

I have my wired network connected by following the steps of your Fix 1.
Great ! The wired network was connected immediately after clicking OK!
Please be able to share your post to help others who also have errors like me.
